Bubble Dye Time! Liese Sweet Apricot

What is Sweet Apricot?
☛ a juicy, soft fruit, resembling a small peach, of an orange-yellow color.
☛ one of the few, new shades of my favorite bubble dye.
☛ My new hair color... Ch-check it out!

This is my previous hair color, Mocha Orange. The dark roots were annoying me,
 not a pretty sight. ><

foam on hair *squishy*

after waiting for 30 minutes and a shower...
Hello there evenly colored, vibrant hair! Please stay for long?

I know it looks almost the same shade as Mocha Orange, but in person, its a tad darker especially indoors. Please excuse me while I obsess about my dark eyebrows. I need a salon fix stat! >.<

For a more detailed post + instructions, please view my first DIY hair dye post here.

Thanks for looking!

Liese Mocha Orange

Ola chicas! I can't believe this is my first blog entry for July. Apologies for my long absence! I'm doing my best to keep up. <3

Anyway,

My dark roots were already annoying to see so I looked at my stash for my backup bubble hair dyes, I chose Mocha Orange after browsing google images.

this is my previous hair color, its Liese Ash Brown which can already considered as "very light color hair" as you can see on the chart.
Its also quite flattering for my yellowish skin tone.

Now you can see the Mocha Orange shade. I left the bubble dye on for 30 minutes and got this result:
please don't mind the pesky, won't be tamed strands. xD

Its looks really bright under sunlight:
Its a very pretty "summer" shade, do you like your hair lighter during hotter months/seasons? Obviously I do. What do you gals think?

If you want to see detailed instructions for Prettia/Liese bubble hair dye and previous hair colors just look it up on the search tab. ;)

Happy hump day!

G

2010 Highlights: Life and Makeup

2010 was a happy year for me, even if it was the year I got sick a lot... I hope 2011 spares me of frequent sickness. *positive thinking while chugging down vitamins* Its also the year I got to develop real friendships with my fellow bloggers. I'm looking forward to getting closer to more lovely ladies this year! ^_^

Let me share with you some really good moments LAST year:
✦ January,  we got BOWIE, our little boy Chihuahua. One year later, he's turned out to be quite the fashionista. J'adore!
✦ March, my first batch of blog sale items went up for grabs on shopcoffretgorge.blogspot.com
✦ July, Singapore trip with the whole family! gotta lurve family bonding trips! Have you seen the MUMMY PIC? click on the link, if you need some cheering up! XD
✦ November, went on a girl's trip to Hong Kong and queued for the Lanvin x H&M collaboration. Nothing like a crazy hoarding experience to add to my shopping history. ;)
✦ Also in November, Blogger meet-up with Jennifer. It was so fun shopping for cosmetics with her.

and now, my favorite products that helped me look presentable althroughout 2010...

SKINCARE:
Fancl! especially the Washing Powder and foaming ball(first and second from left)
The lather cleans my face thoroughly but doesn't strip off natural moisture, leaving my skin soft and smooth. Fancl products are preservative free.

Korres Hot Spiced Chocolate Shower Gel
This has a love it or leave it scent, obviously I love it! It smells oh so yummy! Hot choco scent with a grown up twist. Shout-out to M for getting these for me in Singapore where he bought all the remaining bottles upon learning it will be discontinued. Aw.

HAIR:
La Sana Hair Essence
I have tried other hair essences/leave-on treatments this year but nothing compares to this seaweed essence.

Prettia/Liese Bubble hair dye
Fun, fast and easy to do! Plus the colors are very pretty, very flattering for asian skin tones.

BASE MAKEUP:
Shu Uemura Nobara Cream Stick
medium to full coverage, ideal for special occasions especially in our humid weather!

Canmake 5-effects Foundation
easy to blend foundation with a cream to powder finish, saves me a lot of prep time in the morning.

Clé de peau concealer in Ochre
Now I know what the raves are all about. Full review coming soon. :)

POINT MAKEUP:
CHANEL Tweed Fuschia
I love this to bits. ;)

Dollywink Liquid liner in black
Want to achieve that winged liner look? If you're a liquid liner newbie (like me) get this one, its easy to apply plus it doesn't smudge and lasts all day.

LUNASOL Aurorized Eyes palette 05
very versatile palette. I wore it almost everyday since I got it. Definitely my fall favorite!

Jill Stuart Eye Jellies in 09 Midnight shine and 10 Vintage Decor
very rich colors packed with shine. I'm glad I got these to try.

Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara
looks natural and very lightweight. I already have a back-up! :)

Lunasol Full Glamour Lips S 49
Aside from the gorgeous overspray, I love it for the beautiful deep berry tint it gives my lips.

NAILS:
MAC Studded from the Riveting Collection
gorgeous matte polish especially on the toes! So sad I didn't get a backup. :(

RBL No More War
the BEST military green shade evarrr.

CHANEL Pulsion
vibrant and creamy fuschia for Barbie-esque nails.

Deborah Lippmann
Happy Birthday, Bad Romance, Across the Universe - I love glitters, the chunkier the better! Evidently, I got lots of nail polish this year, my collection grew mad like gremlins. XD

That's it! I hope I didn't bore you with the long product post. I hope I can keep up with my reviews this year. *i really wish that!* I already have a lot on queue! XD

Lets all help each other stay sane with all the beautiful spring collections coming up! Shall we? Thank you for reading!

Singapore Haul

aka THE Birthday Haul. This is my first time I'm having my birthday as a beauty blogger, and the fact that I was spending it in Singapore did not help in keeping my wallet safe from the damage. Hello Sephora! Sasa! Watson's! ION Orchard and Takashimaya!

random fact: I used to gift myself with gadgets, then purses and now cosmetics. eeeep! As lurvey would say, "I wonder what's next?" should I say DIAMONDS and see if he would faint? hahaha! :P

first up, skincare from FANCL! Lovely Stellar swore by FANCL products for keeping her skin clear and healthy during one of her HK trips. I was curious, so I had to get me some FANCL to try!
2 bottles of Tense Up EX Collagen drinks as GWP, FANCL rest eye gel, light lotion, milky lotion, washing powder and the foaming ball. I also got a free lifetime membership card for spending a certain amount. I think it was for purchases amounting to S$100 and up.

Sunday Lunch Date @ La Nuova

Hola! While everyone is celebrating Spain's World Cup victory, I'm thinking about the tartufo linguine pasta I had for lunch yesterday. Sorry Spain, but when it comes to food, I'm going Viva Italia! Hahaha :P

The BEST...
creamy tartufo linguine with porcini mushrooms and prosciutto di parma on top. Yummers in the tummers! I wish I can eat this everyday. :D

sorry for the low quality pics, Lurvey forgot his camera at home! :{
Lurvey had an italian beef steak dish in medium with mushrooms on top (sorry i forgot the fancy italian name! lol), it was sooo delicious! Their Concorde cake is my favorite too! Too bad it was sold out by the time we arrived for lunch tastebuds= :( , calorie counter = :D lol. If you're within the vicinity of Makati City and you're looking for a good italian meal, try La Nuova at San Antonio Park, along McKinley Ave. You wont regret it. ;)

In other news, this is the last pic of me you'll see with my long hair, I had a hair cut and its the shortest one I've had in years! (it's still medium length though) will post a pic once I get a decent one. haha! I have to color my hair first 'cause the roots are already bugging me. Can you help me choose between the two hair dyes I have?
Prettia Bubble Hair Dye in Marshmallow Brown or Hoyu Beautylabo's Maple Chocolate? Lighter or Darker? I appreciate your opinion. :D

Happy Monday!

Weekend DIY: Hoyu Beautylabo Hair Dye in Marshmallow Beige

Hi everyone! I dyed my hair again, and this time I used Hoyu Beautylabo in Marshmallow Beige. Read on to find out how it worked out! :)

I purchased a Hoyu Beautylabo hair dye from an eBay seller based in Hong Kong (for USD18 including shipping), I was getting the new bubble/mousse type (I even asked the seller to make sure I'm getting the product I want) but they still sent me the conventional hair dye, but since I was very curious on how marshmallow beige would turn up on my hair, I decided not to complain and use it anyway.

Here's what's inside the box:
Hair essence treatment, coloring agent no. 1(tube) & 2(bottle), instructions(in Japanese) with the gloves inside and the applicator comb.

Before:
Prettia Bubble Hair Dye in Royal brown, the color have turned quite yellowish (in daylight) which I did not like very much.

get the gloves from the instruction page:

pour agent no. 1 into no. 2, then shake 30 times.

replace cap with the comb applicator:

gently press the bottle to get the dye out like this:

and apply as evenly as possible to sectioned hair:
leave it on for 20-30 minutes then rinse, shampoo hair, apply hair essence and rinse.

et voila! Marshmallow Beige hair color! in natural light:
can you see that dark spot on top of my head? the dye didn't get through it I guess.

with flash:
It may look vibrant here but it looks better, darker in person I promise! hehe. sorry for the messy hair! thats how my hair behaves when not blow dried. ^_^

My thoughts? The shade that I achieved is the one in the middle so its safe to say that the swatches are accurate, however, I will not repurchasing this because its quite a mess to use and I can't apply it by myself, Lurvey helped me a lot in my weekend DIY hence, the dark patch of hair on top of my head. Haha! The bubble type hair dye is more convenient for me. Plus it left my hair with more even color, because its easier to apply. So next time, I'll make sure I get the right product I want.

What do you think? Happy weekend everyone! :)

10 Honest Things About Me + A Relapse Haul

I got tagged by the sweet ehlee of superwoolu.blogspot.com to do a "10 honest things about me" post, its my first time being tagged so I'll be obedient and do ittttt! :)

[insert any photo]
Lurvey, G & Bowie ^_^
This is a very recent photo. Yes, I had my hair cut, 6 inches were chopped off by the stylist. I had it cut because it's summertime and its so hot! Oh and just in case you might want an update for the Prettia Bubble Hair Color. ;)

1. I like being alone, especially when shopping, i don't like the feeling when someone is so bored waiting for me. hahaha!

2. I like musicals, The Phantom of the Opera is my favorite. I was so moved to tears when I watched it in NY.

3. I don’t like driving at night, bright lights give me a headache.

4. I love going to the supermarket; I find it therapeutic.

5. i CAN'T pack light, even if i try, i still end up bringing the whole house - I think I got that trait from my mom.

6. If I could, I would wear high heels 24/7. But I love flats too! Those Miu Miu flats in my last post are really haunting me I tell you.

7. I am fascinated by Korean fashion, their style looks so sweet and feminine, eternally cute yet current at the same time.

8. I am an old soul when it comes to music…I listen to marvin gaye, louis armstrong, dean martin and the likes…

9. i use 4 different pairs of shampoo and conditioner alternately - to prevent product build up which causes itching and dandruff. eew.

10. I would love to learn mandarin - so i can easily converse with locals whenever I go to HK. :)

As promised, here are my Rilakkuma plushies Ehlee! :)
We're plushie sisters now. ;)

I would like to tag all the lovely ladies who commented on my Mad About Miu Miu post:

UPDATE: Prettia Bubble Hair Dye in Royal Brown

Just an update on the Prettia Bubble Hair Dye in Royal Brown after 3 weeks. Please note that I wash my hair everyday.

roots are showing...

As you can see the color already faded a bit, but its still nice in person imho.

My long hair. :)

I saw on Ichibankao that Prettia released new colors for this line. I'm already thinking of a new shade to try, any suggestions? :)
