Bugis Village Finds!

Singapore's Bugis Village is known for its great bargain shopping which is a totally different realm from the sassy malls of Orchard Road. My eyes widened at the sight of incredibly low-priced trendy clothes and accessories! Just ask Luna. ^_~

I had so much fun hunting for quirky, kawaii accessories that I feel the need to share 'em with you lovelies! Here are some of my bargain picks:

3 for SGD10 rings
bunny ears ring ala Louis Vuitton

vintage looking home-maker bunny carrying an easter egg. How cute is that?

big brass bow! this doesn't photograph too well, but it sure looks attractive when worn!

3 for SGD15 connector rings!
who doesn't like stars?!

a curly mustache connector ring for my bestie! LOL.

and my favorite...
another trinket added to my little box of gorgeousness. :)

Given the affordable price, I don't expect these to last me a lifetime, these are fast-fashion accessories after all, the kind of quality you can get from Forever21 and H&M.

I hope you enjoyed the eye candy!

G

Changi T3 Sightings

On our way to Kuala Lumpur, my friend and I had a few hours to spare at Changi T3 so we had a leisurely brekkie at McDonald's (hmm Turkey bacon!) and had a sniff & swatch spree at Duty Free!

CHANEL goodies:

ROUGE COCO Shine SGD33.50, ROUGE ALLURE SGD32.70

Le Vernis SGD 25.40
I opened the stock drawer and saw a few bottles of Graphite and Peridot!

LANCOME Travel Exclusive skin care sets and makeup palettes:

DIOR Travel Exclusive sets and palettes

DIOR Rose Collection Palette SGD66.50

DIOR Cannage Couture Collection Palette

I love it when I have time to scour the cosmetics section at Duty Free shops, it gives me more control on what I put on my basket, rather than being in a hurry and grabbing all the stuff I fancy without trying them and thinking twice if I really need them. Hahaha! I also spotted the L'Oreal Infaillibles on discount but they are now sold out and SA said they won't be restocking. :|

Spy anything you like? Makes you want to fly huh?

Singapore Haul!

My cosmetics shopping was restricted to brands exclusive to Singapore, and I'd like to think it was quite a success. The blogger babes were a big help, always telling me "don't buy here la, buy in Hong Kong!" Thanks for the restricted enabling ladies! You know who you are <3

Sephora loot:
Bath time buddies from Soap & Glory. Spy that BREAKFAST SCRUB? It smells like pancakes drizzled with maple syrup. OMGee, truly a feast for the olfactory senses. Im not kidding! One sniff and I was sold. The bulkiness didn't stop me from putting it into my basket.

Sephora Waterproof Jumbo Eye Pencils, a DiorSnow BB cream sample and fresh SUGAR Lip Treatment in  Honey.

Watson's
I got the matomage Utena Hair Styling Stick for my stubborn stray hair (I read that the Green colored packaging is for those with long and thick hair) and a DHC Platinum White foundation base in beige,  highly recommended by blogger pal Elaine

Magazines from Kinokuniya:
purchased Voce & ViVi with member discount. Thanks Lynn! ^_^
GLA was given to me by sweet Stellar when we met up in Kuala Lumpur.

The Make Up Store
This is my first encounter with the Swedish brand, their simple black look sends off a very professional feel both in the store all the way to the packaging, which is comparable to Makeup Forever. I got a fresh and vibrant smelling perfume and 2 holo polishes which I am so excited to swatch for the lovelies!

Changi T3
spotted the L'Oreal Infaillibles (SGD 14.30) on 30% discount, took advantage of the offer and grabbed all the remaining shades! I was told that these have sold out as of writing. *lucky G*

also managed to get the prettiest looking YSL travel palette, Stellar enabled made me try hers back in KL and I really liked the color and texture of the lipstick. I can't get over the patent fuchsia packaging, it looks and feels luxurious, it can pass as an über chic iPhone case!

I'm slowly picking up my pace with blogging, and definitely getting my groove back... hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!

Singapore: Blogger Meetups and Love Packs!

Oh gosh, where to start? Hello everyone! Remember me? I know, its been exactly one month since my last post, as I said, my real life (work & family) has taken over, leaving me without time for blogging. But last week I went on a holiday trip to Singapore and planned some meet-ups with the sweetest bloggers residing in the Lion City. :)

at Sentosa with the Merlion replica :P

blogger babes closing down Ngee Ann City Sephora! so much fun shopping with these ladies. :D

with the lovely Elaine aka misselainnio. <3

with cutie Cynthia aka slowbrogal. <3

I received so many gifts that I didn't feel the urge to shop, especially for sheet masks because they gave me a pretty vast selection! But haul fiends need not to worry, I still bought some interesting bits to show you later. Right now I just want to thank Lynn, Elaine, Cynthia, Joolyn, Luna and Jolyn for the wonderful time! Until our next shopping and dining rendezvous!

Singa-purr! Pt. 2

First of all, I would like to apologize in advance to my dear cfbeauty friend Karen for going to the zoo. Sorry babe! I know how you feel towards caged animals. It was for my cutie patootie niece, I know you'll understand. :D You still love me right? hehe *hugs*

Day 3 was spent roaming around the Singapore Zoo, it was raining lightly when we got there, thats why I don't have a lot of nice pics to share. It just so much hassle holding an umbrella, my bag and taking out my camera. Plus my niece always wants to be carried, I'm not complaining, just explaining ;) I love carrying her, even if she weighs like a sack of rice HAHAHA! Im such a doting aunt. :D

This is a cute pic (I think) me wearing a Panda pompom hat! :)

After the zoo we went to the Shoppes @ The Marina Bay Sands, it wasn't completely open yet, there are stores still in their construction phase. But it was nice to see. My parents and niece rode the local version of Grand Canal's gondolas - Singapore Sampan's :)
look at my parents waving, they're like celebrities! lol

The beauty blogger in me took notice of the OPI boutique, I went inside while my parents and niece were riding the sampans. They have a wide variety of products and nail polish shades, I tried some and got 3 bottles of nail polish which I think are waaaay overpriced. Yep, I only realized it now. Hey, I got excited ok? Don't judge. XD
they gave me a price list (read: EXPENSIVE!) for nail services, just tell me if you want to see it and I'll put it up for you.

Now, I know a lot of people who visit Singapore go to the Merlion as soon as they get settled in. Not us! We always get too tired to go see the mythical creature after our daily activities so we just did a quick family photo with the Merlion before going to the airport.
is it weird that I find the merlion adorable? I want a stuffed merlion pillow! I didn't go to the souvenir store so I'm not sure if they have one. Time for google search! ;)

I also got a souvenir pic with the Marina Bay Sands as back drop.
isnt it cool? It's like Noah's Ark ver. 2010 :)

Alright thats it for today, I'm working on the haul pics and also some scans to share with you next time. I hope you're all having a good week. It's Thursday once again, can you smell the weekend? I do! :)

♡ always,
G

Singa-purr! Pt. 1

Hello! Ni hao! Apa Khabar! I'm back from my birthday trip, Singapore was super fun! I had a great time bonding with my whole family, I wish we can do this more often, since family time brings me so much joy. It's the greatest gift ever! :)

I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of Miu Miu's in the main shopping district, Prada's younger sis must be very popular with Singaporeans.

We stayed at Royal Plaza on Scotts, which is connected to the DFS Galleria. An adjoining hotel-shopping mall is always a good combo. Its also a few skips and hops away from Isetan Scotts and an underground walk away to Ion Orchard. ;)

We started our Singapore adventure by shopping and having an authentic dinner, I had shrimp laksa, it was creamy, spicy and delicious!

and the softest fried bean curd i've tasted...
it was like munching on little hot clouds. :)

Day two was spent at Universal Studios, it was packed! Good thing we still managed to get some nice, stranger-free pictures. hahaha
my whole family :)

me and my niece posin' like egyptians ^_~

the battlestar gallactica rollercoasters:
which aren't working yet. boo! (>.<)

im hooked! :P

A-OK @ Friar's, Far far away

Can you see my short hair? hehe. I chose the Prettia Marshmallow brown color, my BIL said it was too light. But I still like it. stubborn gal hahaha! >:)

That's it for now, Pt. 2 will have our Singapore Zoo and Merlion snaps. I will also share my Singapore beauty haul soon, I just need to take some pics.

Thanks for reading!
