My MUJI Fix

Manila's shopping scene is getting better and better every time big companies bring in the stores Filipinos like to visit when traveling abroad. Latest import is MUJI, a Japanese retail company which sells a wide variety of household and consumer goods including food, clothes and cosmetics.

The first time I went there, the queue was unbelievably long! So I emptied my half-filled basket and left. It was only their second day of opening so its understandable. I let a week pass before going back, fortunately (or unfortunately, however you want to see it) I did not leave empty handed the second time. Although there were products I wanted which sold out. Bummer.

I managed to get a blusher in Rose Pink (which Jennifer reviewed and recommended to try on her blog), a couple of face cleansing nets (which Kay featured in her blog a few weeks back), a bottle of cleansing oil and a tube of gel cleansing. I was good right? :P

close-ups of the blusher:
packaging is a dead ringer for the Shu Uemura Glow-on blushers. A lot of companies seem to favor copying the Shu Uemura packaging huh? (hello The Face Shop, MUJI!) ^_~
Anyway, being the blusher lover that I am, this one is pretty unique to me since its MATTE. Almost all of my blushers have shimmer in them so I was really excited to try this. Price is pretty good too, it only costs, Php350 (approx. USD7).

I haven't tried the cleansing oil yet, but I will definitely put up a review once I do. Does anyone know how to use the GEL CLEANSING properly? Does it work like a makeup remover or a facial wash? LOL. I can't find any instructions online. :P

Thanks in advance lovelies!

G

  7. I think the gel cleanser should be used as any other facial wash. It's just the texture is more thick not milkish. IMHO
Cleansing nets! YEY I've read about them, must be fun to use them!^^
7 bucks for the blush? That's super! And the color looks pretty too! And how much the others cost? Like the cleansing oil....it seems quite a big bottle....around 200ml?

  9. i forgot to reply to your NARS compact taping comment XD

i think its going to take 2 years at least for the packaging to degenerate into the gluey and sticky state...but try not to put them under sun, near heat...i think these make them degenerate faster. You can tape them when they start to get sticky, but for now, enjoy the black rubbery feeling! (it actually feels nice when it's new) :P

  11. pretty blusher!

never tried a gel cleansing oil before, but since it is in the cleansing oil category, I think you will take a small amount, rub it around your face to soften the makeup, and then go over to the sink, wet your hand just a lil bit, message your face again to emulsify the oil product so now the product should become a milky white texture and non-greasy anymore. then you can just rinse off all together :) hope that helps!

  20. Ooh...I've never heard of this, but now I want to get my hands on some!

Cleansing oil/gel I think is waterless make up removing...as in you put the product on and rub it in without water and only use water afterward to rinse it off. Some people wipe it off so I guess they don't use water at all...o.o I like rinsing 'cause I'm used to it.
