Lately, I've been constantly thinking about cream shadows, I don't own a lot of them, just one pot from Coffret D'or which I adore (I usually use it as a shimmery base for powder shadows) and I actually have some duos from ELF too, which are quite nice BUT (and thats a big one) I have one major concern, they crease like crazy and its not a pretty sight when they do. Living in a humid climate, what's the point of getting cream shadows that crease when they're supposed to give you long lasting pigments which should last until you take it off? Imagine having a really nice date out in the park and your date's like, what happened to your eyelids? Uhuh.
Hence, my cream shadow lemming list! :)
Note: The colors in the pots/photos are not necessarily the ones on my list, I just got lazy to look for the exact color photos for some of the products. hahaha! Photos from Sephora.com ;)
Shu Uemura Pearl Light Pink, MUFE Aqua Cream #21 Turquoise, Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in RSVP and Skinny Jeans
YSL FARD LUMIÈRE AQUARÉSISTANT Water-Resistant Eye Shadow in #3 Golden Fern and #19 Riviera Blue, Dior in Undressed Beige, Shiseido Hydro Power Eyeshadow in H7 Green Exotique
Nars Duo Cream Eyeshadow in Camargue and Madagascar, NARS The Multiple in Orgasm
What cream shadow product brands have you tried and would really recommend? I would appreciate the suggestions! :)
Hi CD,
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for a swap partner :D do u want.. to be mine? we can swap for things that's not available in our country or for things needed/want. I have Benefit Creaseless E/s in Birthday Suit :D
Awww... I agree with the creasing part, as well... Anyway... You have a nice list... Oh! Thanks for dropping by my blog, sweetie! ^__^
ReplyDeletetry p&j eye glosses! the brown one is a must try! plus it doesn't crease even without base
ReplyDeleteI truly recommend Benefit creaseless shadow liner, especially in RSVP because the colour is So pretty!!
ReplyDeletePS - It's a mocha frap day...so hot!
ReplyDeleteGood morning!!!
ReplyDeleteDid the first commenter say something about swapping? I didn't think this was that type of blog. ;P
You have to try the MUFE creams, I just bought 2 and I'm loving them. They lasted me about 6 hours before showing any signs of creasing. I like the Benefit creams too but they crease on me kinda fast, but the colors they carry are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the YSL creams were water-resistant, I have to try those out now.
I purchased the Jill Stuart Gel Shadow pot and it's pretty good...lasts about half day. For oily lid gals like us, I think the only way is to use a primer to keep these things on.
ReplyDeleteI've been lemming for MUFE aqua creams after so much raves from blogger ladies too!
ReplyDeleteeverything looked yummy except for the benefit. the brand never worked for me. what's your pick, girly?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get my hands on the MUFE Aqua Cream Eyeshadows! ;)
ReplyDeleteI like your want list! Dior Undressed Beige is such a classy color - I have it too! <3
the only cream shadows I have is a mac paintpot & revlon ones....and I don't know how to use it...haha...but that Dior one is a pretty color...
ReplyDeletelol you read my mind cuz it's filled with thoughts of cream shadows as well haha! i really want to try the mufe aqua eyes
ReplyDeletethe only cream shadows i've tried are the ones from benefit and i'm loving the ones i own!
i would vote for Shu Uemura, this product never fails me!
ReplyDeleteI tried Sugar Baby before and I love it! I'm not sure if it's still available though?
ReplyDeleteoooh... i've also heard great things about benefits cream eyeshadows though i haven't tried any for myself. (other than revlon, which doesn't count cos they're an utter nightmare!)
ReplyDeleteThe YSL and Shu ones are lovely and truly waterproof!
ReplyDeleteBest, Lisamarie
Hey Georgina, I'm a first timer to your blog and I saw this post :) I only own one cream shadow which is from Coffet D'or, I quite like it cos it's very long lasting and does not crease.
ReplyDeleteWith the blush you have shown here, I've just done a tutorial / colour swatch on my face yesterday :) the colour is lovely but I have to say the multi stick's staying power is not very good, so I would recommend to dust a layer of powder on top to set it.
I think the last cream shadow I tried was from Biotherm and it was years ago so I'm a newb in this dept. =\ I'm still a powder girl I guess.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, sweetie! =)
The good thing about cream shadows is that you can just use your fingers muahaha less clean up =P
