My cream eyeshadow phase hasn't ended just yet...
I got these Becca babies at Adora, Greenbelt 5. They retail for Php1,750 (approx. USD40) but they had a promotion wherein selected items had 50% OFF the price, plus a "Buy One Take One" deal. Then I had a store voucher so I only paid Php375 (approx. USD9) for the two cream shadows. I love it when I get great products for cheap! Who doesn't?! :P
I got Graphite - a smoky, shimmery black with violet undertone, and Patina - a rich olive green shade.
Packaging is very luxe and durable, not flimsy at all. The mirror is a nice touch, it makes it more convenient for traveling.
Judging from the pans, I had the impression that Patina will be my favorite out of the two, but when I swatched them Graphite blew me away! Its such a beautiful color, especially for doing smokey eyes or if you want a simple but edgy eyeliner.
Swatches on bare skin: Graphite (left), Patina (right)
another angle:
Both can be used as eyeshadow and/or as eye liner, I am attracted to cream eyeshadows because they are so easy to blend and application is fool proof, you don't even need a brush, how simple can it get? My only negative comment is they tend to make my eyelids oilier which WILL lead to smudging. ->not pretty. But a good eyeshadow primer can always fix that. ;)
Have you ever tried Becca cosmetics? What is your favorite product from the brand?
Oh good job on getting a great discount on the Becca Cosmetics! The colors are so pretty, thanks for the swatches. Graphite looks especially colors and multi-dimensional. :) I've tried Becca lipsticks, the formula was really great but the color (red) was awful on me. XD LOL
ReplyDeleteGOSH, cant believe these cream shadows have such good pigmentation! Graphite is so cool =D!!
ReplyDeleteI have heard a lot of positive reviews on their concealer, really wanna try! but have to finish my laura mercier first =(
That was a great deal! I like Patina but those colors are really gorgeous! :P
ReplyDeleteThose colors are really gorgeous, especially the Graphite. I've never heard of this brand before. Although I would like to, I can't use cream shadows since I use the double eyelid stretch fiber on my eyelids.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see an EOTD and/or FOTD with you using one or both of these.
*Kat*
These 2 shades look great! Looks like will make good smokey eyes? I have not really heard of this brand before, probably not sold in Singapore... Looks like the kind of shade Chanel will have!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a steal with the discount! and Graphite looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to check out snacks and confectionery from Muji when it opens ^^
my eyes bulged out at the price of the cream eyeshadows! But I was relieved you got it for a cheaper price haha =p
ReplyDeleteThey compacts look like flying saucers--I think I have watched too many sci-fi movies.
ReplyDeleteRYC: You're the kind and generous one.
Both of the shades are really pretty and pigmented! Thanks for the swatches~
ReplyDeleteWOW! I really love the colors, it's gorgeous.. wanna try it!!^^
ReplyDeleteHi!!!It's the first time I heard about this brand....both color looks great....haven't tried any cream shadow yet...or are paintpots considered e/s...hehe...and the packaging looks so cool...
ReplyDeleteReally pretty!!! I love the colors! :)
ReplyDeletePigment looks great and I think of iriscident smokey eyes but i can't use cream shadows due to our humidity here. Lids will turn oily after a while despite having primer on.
ReplyDeleteBoth shades look pigmented. and it was a great deal! :)
ReplyDeletelol you were kinda right about pigmentation of Canmake - it's moderate leaning towards sheer. This applies to their powder e/s i think...Their powder blush and cream blush is alright :)
ReplyDeleteWhat have you tried from them so far ^^?
Thank you for the swatch, I love Becca stuff too :) really want their cream blush :)
ReplyDeletehehe I haven't heard of so so many brands, but this cream shadow looks reallyy pretty. I like the metallic sheen and the shades that you picked!!
ReplyDeleteI tried Becca back when Sephora used to carry it. I believe it was the loose powder that I tried but I can't remember if I liked it or not. My guess is no since I'm not missing it...hehe. I do love the pigmentation on these though! Plus they are perfect shades for Fall. =D
ReplyDeleteoh that color is pigmented even on bare skin. i think patina is really pretty
ReplyDeleteThese shades are very beautiful. Would love to see them on you for some fotds :D hehe
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Becca cosmetics before but these shades look so pretty^^ You're right, graphite looks so nice and would look amazing as a liner!
ReplyDeleteWowzers, that's really pretty! The packaging on your first pic makes them look like buttons, cute!
