After a long time lemming for it... I finally got a hold of a couple of Konad stamping nail art kits! I was surprised to see a local supermarket (Shopwise, Alabang) selling authentic Konad. Imagine me on the way to get hand soap then spotting the Konad booth, of course I stopped and shopped! Lurvey had no idea, when he caught up with me he was like, "where's the soap?" and with my puppy dog eyes and pouty lips, I told him to get it instead. Off he went to the soap aisle as I continued choosing my first few Konad plates. Muahahaha >:)
I just got the basic stuff, a double sided stamp set (as MACnunu suggested), a sponge nail art set, some special Konad nail polish and three Konad plates (M3, M57 & M79). ^_^
I'm glad I waited a while and didn't purchase through eBay as prices here are better compared to online sellers. I spent approx. USD65 for everything you see on the photos above. (sorry, I lost the receipt and forgot their individual prices).
I can't wait to stamp my nails away! The only thing bothering me is cleaning up the edges after. *hello, lazypants!*
Have you tried Konad? Got any tips or suggestions? I definitely NEED some. ;)
♡,
G - your friendly Konad noob :P
OMGGGG konad!! i can never do them right :( I gave mine away. Btw, where in PI do you live? seems like you travel a lot *so jealous* hahaha :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck konading and have fun! For some reason I can't konad well. It really doesn't make sense to me since I do a LOT of rubberstamping and the principle is the same. Perhaps it's because I have really small nails. I'm so jealous of those who can do nice konadicures. Anyway, I hope to see NOTD posts by you with your awesome konadicure.

G dear, I'd love to see those nail arts you can come up with using your Konad stuff! I can just imagine how those puppy eyes and pout made your Lurvey go get the soap instead. :P

ReplyDeletethe kit looks amazing - i really cant wait to see your designs!
ReplyDeleteoh i saw Olivia Wilde's dress - was amazing.... it would be an amazing wedding dress for sure!! XD
Konad is so pretty. Only tip would be to mov quick. Think about where you want to stamp it before you do anything. I'd also advise to make sure to push the stamp down on your nail and kind of rock it over the surface of your nail to make sure the edges of he design are on there. Have fun with them!! Can't wait to see which designs you got.
ReplyDelete<3 S.

Took me a while to get it but what worked for me was to stamp straight down on the plate to pick up your design instead of rolling it ;)

Noo Georgina, don't even worry about it! I am not upset for you getting me faceQ masks just because I am on a CF-diet haha :D It's my job to look for CF products for my friends, and I appreciate your gifts so much. Btw I've tried the eyeshadows, I was amazed by how soft they are! I will get them into an FOTD soon :)
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Disqus is more convenient because you have new comments all on the same page and the comment moderator page is super easy to work with. You can also reply to people's comments directly on your blog post and import all your old blogger comments to disqus so you won't lose them. The only downfall I think is that sometimes people don't leave their blog URL's so you can never find them and reply =__=
Gahhh i totally wana try all this stuff!
ReplyDeleteI've tagged you for an award! Grats huni <3
