L O V E

Hi everyone!!! *waves profusely* Its been a month since my last post and I truly miss being a diligent blogger! If you follow me on Twitter or if you're a Facebook friend of mine, you would probably know the big news... but don't fret if you're feeling a bit out of the loop because I'm announcing it here anyway.

Lurvey & I are ENGAGED!

He popped the Q and I said YES! So exciting! I feel so blessed to have a loving fiancee who is willing to spend a fraction of his fortune on our big day. LOL. kidding aside, I realized its so much fun planning and gathering supplier information. It's a whole new world! at least for me and Lurvey. <3

who's in the mood for flashback photos?
Times Square, NYC

Ocean Park, Hong Kong

Sofitel, Manila

Lusso, Greenbelt 4

I'd like to thank our dear friends for supporting us and sharing happiness and love since our dating stage. We had lots of ups and downs, spins and curves, but in the end I know that all roads lead to our joyful life together.

Hoping you all had a sweet November just like me!

Love Pack from Kat! :)

Just in time for Valentine's... Look what I got in the mail yesterday! From Hawaii, with love. Lots of it. :)
I literally gasped in excitement when I saw the Urban Decay Primer Potions, Kat aka galpalhi of Maikatoshaberi.blogspot.com knew I wanted to try those for so long. She also gifted me with a Dior eyeshadow single in a truly gorgeous shade and a couple of Philosophy lip glosses which smell amazing! The Body Shop's Shea body butter is very rich, im gonna use it to moisturize my rough spots (elbows, knees, heels) since the summer season is here and it will be too much for an all-over body moisturizer. The Quik Wipes are quite handy, just wet with water and the tablets become hand towels! I can't wait to show it as magic to my niece and kid cousin! :P

and...

As if that love pack wasn't enough, Kat told me (yesterday) that I won her Charlotte Russe Cashmere Sweater giveaway! Oh the luck I have been bestowed with! :)

I can never be thankful enough to have been blessed with wonderful, sweet and thoughtful friends here on Blogger. ♥

Mahalo Kat!

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! :)

I already ate lots of lots of sweet and sticky Nian Gao aka Tikoy so all of you will stick with me al-throughout the year! ^_~

Bowie says Kung Hei Fat Choi! ^_^

On a random note, I saw these festive rabbit mugs at Starbucks a while back...
They're super heavy especially when filled with beverage, but so so cute! got a couple for me & Lurvey, who took the photos in this post, hence the watermark. :)

Wishing you all good health, happiness, love and prosperity in the year of the rabbit!

2010 Highlights: Life and Makeup

2010 was a happy year for me, even if it was the year I got sick a lot... I hope 2011 spares me of frequent sickness. *positive thinking while chugging down vitamins* Its also the year I got to develop real friendships with my fellow bloggers. I'm looking forward to getting closer to more lovely ladies this year! ^_^

Let me share with you some really good moments LAST year:
✦ January,  we got BOWIE, our little boy Chihuahua. One year later, he's turned out to be quite the fashionista. J'adore!
✦ March, my first batch of blog sale items went up for grabs on shopcoffretgorge.blogspot.com
✦ July, Singapore trip with the whole family! gotta lurve family bonding trips! Have you seen the MUMMY PIC? click on the link, if you need some cheering up! XD
✦ November, went on a girl's trip to Hong Kong and queued for the Lanvin x H&M collaboration. Nothing like a crazy hoarding experience to add to my shopping history. ;)
✦ Also in November, Blogger meet-up with Jennifer. It was so fun shopping for cosmetics with her.

and now, my favorite products that helped me look presentable althroughout 2010...

SKINCARE:
Fancl! especially the Washing Powder and foaming ball(first and second from left)
The lather cleans my face thoroughly but doesn't strip off natural moisture, leaving my skin soft and smooth. Fancl products are preservative free.

Korres Hot Spiced Chocolate Shower Gel
This has a love it or leave it scent, obviously I love it! It smells oh so yummy! Hot choco scent with a grown up twist. Shout-out to M for getting these for me in Singapore where he bought all the remaining bottles upon learning it will be discontinued. Aw.

HAIR:
La Sana Hair Essence
I have tried other hair essences/leave-on treatments this year but nothing compares to this seaweed essence.

Prettia/Liese Bubble hair dye
Fun, fast and easy to do! Plus the colors are very pretty, very flattering for asian skin tones.

BASE MAKEUP:
Shu Uemura Nobara Cream Stick
medium to full coverage, ideal for special occasions especially in our humid weather!

Canmake 5-effects Foundation
easy to blend foundation with a cream to powder finish, saves me a lot of prep time in the morning.

Clé de peau concealer in Ochre
Now I know what the raves are all about. Full review coming soon. :)

POINT MAKEUP:
CHANEL Tweed Fuschia
I love this to bits. ;)

Dollywink Liquid liner in black
Want to achieve that winged liner look? If you're a liquid liner newbie (like me) get this one, its easy to apply plus it doesn't smudge and lasts all day.

LUNASOL Aurorized Eyes palette 05
very versatile palette. I wore it almost everyday since I got it. Definitely my fall favorite!

Jill Stuart Eye Jellies in 09 Midnight shine and 10 Vintage Decor
very rich colors packed with shine. I'm glad I got these to try.

Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara
looks natural and very lightweight. I already have a back-up! :)

Lunasol Full Glamour Lips S 49
Aside from the gorgeous overspray, I love it for the beautiful deep berry tint it gives my lips.

NAILS:
MAC Studded from the Riveting Collection
gorgeous matte polish especially on the toes! So sad I didn't get a backup. :(

RBL No More War
the BEST military green shade evarrr.

CHANEL Pulsion
vibrant and creamy fuschia for Barbie-esque nails.

Deborah Lippmann
Happy Birthday, Bad Romance, Across the Universe - I love glitters, the chunkier the better! Evidently, I got lots of nail polish this year, my collection grew mad like gremlins. XD

That's it! I hope I didn't bore you with the long product post. I hope I can keep up with my reviews this year. *i really wish that!* I already have a lot on queue! XD

Lets all help each other stay sane with all the beautiful spring collections coming up! Shall we? Thank you for reading!

My Dose Of "Reality"

Hello everyone! Sorry for being MIA this week, I have a couple of cosmetic reviews coming up in the next few days. In the meantime, I just want to share a random fact and fun news with you. :)

Here's something you didn't know about me, I 'm a big reality show fan, from Laguna Beach to The Amazing Race, I lurve it. Especially The Amazing Race Asia... I always fantasize of joining the race with Lurvey (although he honestly says I'll be better off joining with a girl friend. Hahaha!) Anyway, as some of you might now, the fourth season's finale aired last night and the AMAZING (pun intended) thing happened, the two Richards from the Philippines won 1st place! :)

Richard Herrera and Richard Hardin, ready for battle in Malaysia. Aren't they good-looking or what? :P

TEAM PHILIPPINES! The Richards with Rovilson and Marc, 3rd place racers from TARA season 2
photo by Mr. Anton Diaz of Our Awesome Planet

"The Riches" were my early favorites, because I knew they had the ability and stamina to win this season's race. Plus since they're men, their team was drama-free and they showed great camaraderie with other teams. Philippine Teams in the Amazing Race are always good looking and very athletic, they always make it to the top 3 teams racing to get the grand prize, but this is the first time WE actually won!
Thank you Richards for making us proud! Enjoy your $100,000! ^_^

In case you missed it or just want to watch it again, there will be a season 4 marathon tomorrow, December 11 (Saturday) starting at 12:20pm (PH time) on AXN.

Any lovelies out there who are TARA fans like moi?

♡,
G

DISCLAIMER: I am not in any way affiliated or connected to AXN or The Amazing Race, I'm just a happy camper who want to share good news and fun shows to watch. ;)

Autumn in HK Part 4: Blogger Lurve! and Haul ;)

One of my favorite parts during my trip to Hong Kong was meeting Jennifer of lifeandlensofbeauty. It was my first time meeting a fellow blogger from abroad, so to tell you I was psyched would be an understatement. We met up in the afternoon, but only had 2 hours to chat and shop together so we pretty much stuck to my shopping list. Jenn helped me get some stuff from Faces, Lane Crawford and City Super. I loved shopping with a fellow blogger! It was so much fun enabling each other in person! LOL XD I'm already looking forward to shopping with her again next year! Hopefully we'll have more time to roam around the shops that time :)

G and J at Harbour City :)

pretty J asked to have a heart, so I gave her a big, pink one ;)

Jennifer is so sweet she came bearing cosmetic goodies!
Thank you Jenn! I'm wearing the NYX round lip gloss now. ^.^

now onto my cosmetic haul,

our first stop, JILL STUART! :)
I  got 6 items from Jill Stuart: Makeup base, Smooth Silk N foundation refill + case, 2 eye jellies and the eyelash curler. The other stuff in the pic are GWP's.

next in my list was the Cle de Peau counter at Lane Crawford! I already hit pan on my Shu Uemura eye corrector so I was in the hunt for a new concealer. MUA recommended for us to try the Ochre shade, and it looked really promising in brightening and covering my dark circles so I got one.
MUA also gave us puny Cle de Peau foundation samples (bottom). Don't let that packaging fool you! :P

after that we went up to City Super to get some Dollywink and Canmake cosmetics.
lashes! I really wanted to try no.4 because the lash band is not as long as the other ones from the line, I just hate it when I have to cut lashes. I think its such a waste. I also got the lashes case, just because. *BIG BOW*

Canmake!
GWP foundation, 5 effects foundation in 03, gradation wink eyeshadow palette and concealer in 09 (for dark spots/acne scars)

Of course I wouldn't be able to resist getting a few items before I met-up with Jenn.

Some hair care and hair dyes from Vivo, a store similar to Watson's.
the pink range from Essential smells so good! I got a shampoo, conditioner and hair masks.

My HG hair dye, Liese aka Prettia bubble hair color
in Sweet Pink (got it to try a hint of red) and Marshmallow brown (my current hair color).

SASA!
Kiss Me Heroine Make liquid eyeliner, mascaras, Dove foaming cleanser, 'Q-pot ish' chocolate falsies case. Majomajo nail polish and cream shadow, Gi & Gary falsies, Cyber colors concealer and screw brushes.

my loot from Joyce, Deborah Lippmann nail lacquers!
Happy Birthday, Bad Romance and Across The Universe. FINALLY! :D

I really tried to contain myself from buying too much cosmetics this time, thinking that I will be back next year helped a lot! I know you gals understand the feeling of being overwhelmed with so much prettifying things. I think the only area where I failed completely was with the foundations! I just cant resist the Jill Stuart and Canmake foundies!  I can only justify those purchases by thinking I will save money on shipping if I buy it in Hong Kong. Yeah, poor justification. I KNOW! hahaha XD

That's it for now! I hope you liked the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Lovely Thursday to ya!

G

Autumn in HK Part 3: Central + Stanley Market + Food!

Lovelies! It's December! Where did time go? ahhh... Holiday season is here once again! I can't wait to shop for kid's toys with Lurvey! As we know, Christmas is more fun for children, their faces light up whenever they open presents, that's why I always like to watch them demolish the gift wrapping on Christmas day. hahaha!

I want to thank all of you who left a comment on my last post, I'm still contemplating on repurchasing the blusher, I'll let you know if I do! for sure ;) will be replying to your blogs in a bit! :)

OK enough rambling and on to my post, today I'm going to share some photos from our 3rd day in Hong Kong, we had a lot of FUN stuff to cover that day...

Started the day in Central, where I spotted this super cool wall:
I lurve this pic and you know why! :P I'm carrying the Lanvin ♥ H&M paperbag because I was meeting Stellar's SIL anytime that day to give her the dress I got for Stellar. side note: I can't wait to see you wearing it babe! :)

We got some yummy McDonald's iced coffee to jump-start the morning! ->because Starbucks costs a fortune in Hong Kong. LOL
plus I got some Deborah Lippmann at Joyce! woohoo! :)

K & G at Stanley Market for lunch.
urbanity x coffretgorge ^_~

food porn time!!!

yummy Torino pizza and Frutti di Mare spaghetti at Pizza Express!
I swear, K and I finished this without remorse! sooo good! It made me miss my family, who love pizza and pasta as well!

full and sleepy... hahaha PIG! but still posing for a photo. XD

afternoon dessert: Mango platter at Hui Lau Shan, Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
my favorite snack in Hong Kong! the cold weather won't stop me! XD

our last pic of the day, this was in front of DFS Galleria where we swatched Givenchy blushers -which are now added to my gotta get get list! XD
paper bags galore! this is where I missed Lurvey the most. hahaha *kidding!*

My meet-up with Jennifer up next! I realize this post has been long and pic heavy, I have to dedicate a separate post for our meet-up and haul to keep ourselves focused on matters at hand. LOL! Don't I sound so serious and mature? XD

later!

Updates + Something CUTE :)

Hello lovelies! I can't believe its Thursday already. Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I got addicted to Plants VS Zombies that's why my blogging time has been diverted into playtime. XD I already defeated Dr. Zomboss, but I'm still unlocking some mini games so i'm not done playing just yet. muahahaha >:)

You know how I'm backlogged with posts (hauls, reviews, events, etc.) so I decided I'm going to be productive as a blogger today. :P

Last September (->you see how backlogged I am?!), I received a surprise package from the mail, it was from my cousin, Ate (means a senior female in Filipino/Tagalog) Chie, as you can see, she has talent for making presents look like ART. Awesome gift wrapping skills don't you think? I couldn't touch it for a while as I didn't want to ruin the pretty present!

Weekend Updates: Wedding Belle

Hello everyone! Im back and blogging! I'm feeling so much better now, thank you for all your sweet messages and reminders to take my meds, vitamins and LOADS of water! You are all so kind and thoughtful. ^_^

My Monday is off to a great start, I had breakfast bonding with my Mama at Starbucks this morning as she craved their 3 cheese grilled sandwich and signature hot choco with Belgian pegi waffles to go! Hahaha! You can tell I got my sweet tooth from her. Anyway, it was a long weekend for us here in the Philippines as our Muslim brothers/sisters celebrated the end of Ramadan. Let me share with you how I started my long weekend:

On Friday, I attended my dear friend's wedding! Yes, I was still sick that time, but the love and energy from my co-entourage helped me breeze throughout the entire event without feeling the head and body ache. I just hope I didn't infect anyone! If ever I did, I think it would be...

...my BFF Rain! :)

Sick of being sick.

Just a short life update: I'm not really sure what's happening to me nowadays, I get sick more often than I ever did before... I just had tonsillitis last week, and now I caught the flu. and the thing is, my dear friend's wedding is on Friday! I'm a part of her entourage, so staying in is NOT an option. hehe.  I know i'm going to be better by then (the power of positive thinking - it works!) but I need my health back, I have a lot of work to do. :(

I will be back to reading (and commenting on) your posts when my head allows me to stare at my computer for long periods of time without getting throbbing pain. >.<

I promise to take my vitamins everyday now. I need my health back.

be back real soon!

♡,
G

ps. I just finished reading LC's books, LA Candy and Sweet little lies, they were both entertaining and it was interesting to know what happens behind the scenes of a "reality show", but I couldn't help but feel like I was just watching The Hill's all over again (in my mind at least). Good thing I didn't expect much from it. :D
