got my first few bottles of crackle/shatter nail polish from China Glaze and OPI then a couple of Zoya's and mini box sets.

pearls in a variety of sizes!

kawaii Hello Kitty and My Beauty Diary (Black Pearl, White Truffle and Earl Grey Tea & Macaron) Masks!
I threw the boxes away so I can randomly stuff 'em into my luggage. LOL.

DollyWink liquid eyeliner (my favorite!), eyelash applicator and a couple of blotting papers.
I hope you enjoyed the peek! My haul posts are definitely going to slow down now that I'm planning our wedding. Oh how bittersweet! :P

Singapore Haul!

My cosmetics shopping was restricted to brands exclusive to Singapore, and I'd like to think it was quite a success. The blogger babes were a big help, always telling me "don't buy here la, buy in Hong Kong!" Thanks for the restricted enabling ladies! You know who you are <3

Sephora loot:
Bath time buddies from Soap & Glory. Spy that BREAKFAST SCRUB? It smells like pancakes drizzled with maple syrup. OMGee, truly a feast for the olfactory senses. Im not kidding! One sniff and I was sold. The bulkiness didn't stop me from putting it into my basket.

Sephora Waterproof Jumbo Eye Pencils, a DiorSnow BB cream sample and fresh SUGAR Lip Treatment in  Honey.

Watson's
I got the matomage Utena Hair Styling Stick for my stubborn stray hair (I read that the Green colored packaging is for those with long and thick hair) and a DHC Platinum White foundation base in beige,  highly recommended by blogger pal Elaine

Magazines from Kinokuniya:
purchased Voce & ViVi with member discount. Thanks Lynn! ^_^
GLA was given to me by sweet Stellar when we met up in Kuala Lumpur.

The Make Up Store
This is my first encounter with the Swedish brand, their simple black look sends off a very professional feel both in the store all the way to the packaging, which is comparable to Makeup Forever. I got a fresh and vibrant smelling perfume and 2 holo polishes which I am so excited to swatch for the lovelies!

Changi T3
spotted the L'Oreal Infaillibles (SGD 14.30) on 30% discount, took advantage of the offer and grabbed all the remaining shades! I was told that these have sold out as of writing. *lucky G*

also managed to get the prettiest looking YSL travel palette, Stellar enabled made me try hers back in KL and I really liked the color and texture of the lipstick. I can't get over the patent fuchsia packaging, it looks and feels luxurious, it can pass as an über chic iPhone case!

I'm slowly picking up my pace with blogging, and definitely getting my groove back... hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!

HK "Gift To Self" Haul

Shoot. I've abandoned my blog again. Apologies my lovelies! You know how it is when real life gets in the way of blogging duties ya? ;) I got a lot of requests on Twitter to share photos of the stuff I got during my recent trip to Hong Kong. Its been a while since I did a haul post, so I figured I'd give it a go.

OMGee. I couldn't just tell you how much fun and destructive it is (for the wallet) to shop with a fellow beauty blogger.  I have to SHOW you.
*waves hello to Jennifer*

here's a group pic:

close ups:

I'm running really low on my current Aqualabel skin care so I took advantage of the reasonably priced box set + enhancer at SaSa :)

also stocked up on my favorite bubble hair dye because selection is better and its so much cheaper in Hong Kong with all the promotions during the July SALE.
Sweet Apricot and Dark Chocolat

My Beauty Diary LE Masks and Sweet Teatime Set :)
I'm so excited to try these, the packaging is so darn cute!

Orbis UV Cut Sunscreen and Foam Esthe pack:
the sunscreen is the new version I've been told, hence the new packaging color.

loaded up on essential and portable brushes, the price difference between Hong Kong and Manila is huge especially for Shu Uemura brushes (my favorite brand).
I finally have S.U. 18R and the MAC 187  (my first MAC brush)! *happy dance*

base makeup, all powders were recommended by my dear friend/ evil enabler J. :P
The Nanoce BB moist cream was not on my "shoplist" but I was surprised when I saw it at CitySuper so I grabbed it. I've been wanting to try it for the longest time because of Nic Nic's good feedback and HG status. Go see her FOTD's to see what I mean. :)

Make Up For Ever:
I've been testing the black one, my review will be posted soon.

BeneFit:
liquid pearl luminizer, brightening makeup base and a foaming wash (sample)

Blushers:
JS Milky Strawberry and BeneFit Sugarbomb

Dior Addict Lippies in 322 and 333.
Natural looking shades in the beige family. <3

Eye makeup:
you didn't think I was going back without some DollyWink cuteness did you? ^___^
also, I caved in and finally got a Helena Rubinstein mascara at HKIA Duty Free. xD

last but definitely not the least, Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows!
OMfrigginGee. I feel like doing a blog sale, sell all my e/s palettes and just collect all the ETK shades. Serious!

I hope you enjoyed the haul post as much as I had a blast shopping for them. *evil laughter* hey, its my birthday haul! lol. the lamest excuse. I know.

Have a great Monday!

Etude House Miss Tangerine Cream Choux Blush Swatches

Hello lovelies! I went to Etude House yesterday to swatch the Miss Tangerine Cream Choux Blushers for my blusher fiend of a friend Jennifer. :P

Remember in my last Miss Tangerine post I said none of the other products from the line caught my fancy? Well I'm going to eat my own words today... cause I realized all they needed was a chance to be tried on. ;)

Miss Tangerine Cream Choux Blushers are dry cream blushers which are smooth and long wearing.
The packaging is so cute! :)

here are the swatches:
(L-R) #1 Miss Tangerine #2 Miss Peach #3 Miss Berry #4 Miss Grape

orange, peach, pink and lavender shades

I tried on all the shades on my cheeks, #1 made me look like an Oompa Loompa #2 gave me a natural looking peachy flush, #3 is a bright and pretty pink and #4 gave a brightening effect to my face. Oompa Loompa is not a good look for me and I already have LOTS of bright pink blushers so I only got #2 and #4.

The Miss Tangerine Cream Choux Blushers retail for Php328/per tube (approx. USD7) which is not bad for the amount and quality of product (12g) you will get. They are pigmented (especially #1 and #3), very easy to blend and lasts the whole day. The shades are targeted to suit fairer asian skin with yellow undertones so I recommend it to those who belong in that category.

my mini haul :)

blended swatch of #2 Miss Peach and #4 Miss Grape

GWP! for every Php2,000 purchase - I got some stuff for friends too :P

I love shopping at Etude House for their really cute gifts with purchase. This is the most functional and practical one I've received from them so far. <3

Thanks for reading!

Spring 2011: Guerlain Haul

Hello lovelies! Apologies for the lack of posts last week, I was out and about running business errands almost everyday...but now I'm back with some eye candy to perk up your Monday!

Hauled a bit from the Guerlain counter (@Rustan's) last week, I got the Rouge G (lipstick) in 71 Rose Desir and an Ombre Éclat I Couleur (eyeshadow) in 186 L'instant D'une Ondée. The blush G was a gift from Lurvey's mom. *luckygalme*

Now I am happy to report that I am done with the Spring collections as I already have my coveted Guerlain cosmetics!

Blusher and lipstick (both in black packaging) are limited edition products.

here they are in all their gorgeousness. Fun and vibrant yet still sophisticated shades suitable to wear altogether. Individual reviews and swatches are coming soon. :)

Spring 2011: Lunasol Ocean Scene Eyes in 01 Warm Ocean, 05 Colorful Ocean

If you have been reading my blog a long time, you will know that Lunasol is my favorite label for eyeshadow palettes. The quality is superb and the color combinations always work together beautifully. This Spring, they focused on the sparkle and nuance of the ocean scene, hence the name of the collection.

There are 5 palettes available and they are all so gorgeous and tempting but I chose the colorful palettes because spring and summer are most the appropriate seasons to play up with fun and vibrant shades. I purchased 01 Warm Ocean and 05 Colorful Ocean on adambeauty.com which has the best price for asian cosmetics, shipping is very cheap too. I got my order in a week. (please note that I'm not affiliated with this store, just a regular customer) ^_~

Description from Lunasol: The scene of a boundless ocean will be released once the palette is opened. This is a four-color eye shadow set that captures the various aspects of the ocean.
Adopts Soft Powder Formula, which delivers a moist, smooth texture, and recreates the ocean’s wateriness and clarity with Ocean Nuance Color. Makes the eyes look so beautiful and creates highly translucent and wet-looking eyes.

01 Warm Ocean

soft pink, light blue, pearly white and deep plum shades

swatch:
<- no primer / with primer (UDPP) ->

02 Colorful Ocean

pearly pink, sky blue, canary yellow, hazelnut brown

Pretty colors right? Don't be afraid of the colors that you see as these apply quite sheer on the lids, making them very wearable. The shadows are very fine milled and super soft to the touch. I've only tried 05 as of writing this post and I have to tell you that hazelnut brown shade in the palette is LOVE.

If you are a fan of Lunasol, you don't want to miss this collection, get an eyeshadow palette. Any palette! You will know what I mean when you touch the heavenly smoothness of the shadows.

Are you lovelies ready for spring time? :)

Hello Konad!

After a long time lemming for it... I finally got a hold of a couple of Konad stamping nail art kits! I was surprised to see a local supermarket (Shopwise, Alabang) selling authentic Konad. Imagine me on the way to get hand soap then spotting the Konad booth, of course I stopped and shopped! Lurvey had no idea, when he caught up with me he was like, "where's the soap?" and with my puppy dog eyes and pouty lips, I told him to get it instead. Off he went to the soap aisle as I continued choosing my first few Konad plates. Muahahaha >:)

I just got the basic stuff, a double sided stamp set (as MACnunu suggested), a sponge nail art set, some special Konad nail polish and three Konad plates (M3, M57 & M79). ^_^

I'm glad I waited a while and didn't purchase through eBay as prices here are better compared to online sellers. I spent approx. USD65 for everything you see on the photos above. (sorry, I lost the receipt and forgot their individual prices).

I can't wait to stamp my nails away! The only thing bothering me is cleaning up the edges after. *hello, lazypants!*

Have you tried Konad? Got any tips or suggestions? I definitely NEED some. ;)

G - your friendly Konad noob :P
