my favorite part (aside from seeing the actual jewelry) was reading the care instructions, Yasumi is a really talented artist. I was laughing and smiling like a love-struck teen reading her note. I wont share it in here, you have to get one yourself! ^_~

Presenting, my first pair of shiny fings from the Worship Blues Emporium!

They make me happy, I love them, and they are definitely going to my little box of gorgeousness.

Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips #3 Swatch + FOTD

Almost forgot that I had this, good thing I looked through my archived photos and saw some "un-blogged" products. So today I'm sharing with you another item from Etude House's Miss Tangerine collection, Sweet Shower Lips in #3 Miss Sunny Tangerine.

What I like:
♥ VERY cute packaging
♥ sheer-medium pigmentation, creamy, easy to wear
♥ pretty shade of orangey-red, compliments my NC30 skin tone
♥ sweet, citrus scent (can be a CON if you don't like scented lip products)
♥ not too pricey (Php398 if I remember correctly)
♥ not drying! (for an EH lippie, this is unexpected!)

What I don't like:
◆ The twist mechanism is NOT RETRACTABLE
◆ it emphasizes lip lines
◆ it can only last for 2 hours max.

Coppola Keratin Complex Treatment

In a hot and humid climate like ours, I'm sure a lot of ladies will be able to relate when I say that fighting frizz is always a tough battle. That is why I decided to invest time and money to have a Keratin Complex treatment and finally be free from my daily hair troubles.

Who Should Use this Keratin Complex Treatment?
Anyone who wants to smooth frizzy hair or tame curly locks can use it. It will keep your hair smooth, and make straightening easier. If you love your curls, this will help them stay bouncy and gorgeous without the extra frizz. Coppola Keratin Treatment works great for ethnic hair too!
Why Does it Work?
Keratin is a naturally occurring protein found in our hair skin and nails. This, overtime and because of other products we use, will deplete from the hair. The Coppola Keratin Treatment brings life back into our locks by restoring the keratin which creates lustrous and shiny hair that is still very manageable.

The Keratin treatment process usually takes 3-4 hours depending on the length and thickness of hair to be treated. My long hair took 2 hours to finish (as 2 stylists worked on it).

First step was to wash my hair (shampoo only), then it was blow-dried loosely. The Keratin complex treatment is then applied to the hair by section using a brush. It is left to set for 30 minutes.
also had my eyebrows dyed ^_^

The smell was a bit irritating to the nose and eyes, my eyes teared up every time the fan was oscillating away from me.

After the 30 minute setting period, the treatment has to be "sealed-in" using a flat iron set to 450degrees. After that, the salon process is over.
Thats senior stylist Michael to the right snipping a few inches off my hair.

almost done!
The hardest part of this treatment was not being able to wash my hair for 3 whole days! 72 stinking hours! Although to be fair my scalp wasn't as itchy as I expected it to be. but still, I'm so glad that part is over. Now I can show you my "BEFORE & AFTER" photos.

dry and frizzy hair hello? >.<

My new just-got-out-of-the-bed 'do! ta-dah! :)
A handy heart to cover my wonky smile xD
Sorry for the blurry photo, had the camera's ISO set too high @.@
As you can see my hair's natural waves are still there as this is only a nourishing treatment, not traditional hair rebonding. I love that it looks healthy, moisturized and naturally shiny. My hair is now soft, smooth and frizz free! I hope it lasts for 4-6 months as promised.

To prolong the effect the stylist recommended using the Coppola Sulfate-free shampoo + conditioner set which they have in the salon, but because I'm a brat I declined and went to Basement Salon to get the Pureology set which is said to be THE BEST sulfate-free, Keratin treatment after care. It is pricier than the Coppola set, but after spending that much on a treatment, I wanted the best after care available.
Pureology SuperSmooth Shampoo 300ml Php1190 Conditioner 250ml Php1515
The Coppola Keratin Complex Treatment costs Php7,000 (approx. USD160) at Studio 546, Shangri-la Plaza. Is it worth it? I think its a good alternative if you get monthly treatments to smooth and nourish your hair. It CAN cost almost the same, but LESS visits to the salon.

CAUTION:
➜ This is not for pregnant women.
➜The treatment is formaldehyde-free, but does contain an organic aldehyde.

I hope this helps those who are considering the treatment. I'm off to have a happy hair day!

CHANEL Summer 2011: 557 Morning Rose NOTD

A warm pink with gold glitter, Morning Rose is a flattering shade to sport especially if you need a pick me up color which is not over the top (like Mimosa). The golden sparkles add dimension to this lovely, not so bright pink.

Application is a breeze for this one, its not streaky and it goes on smoothly. I applied 3 thin coats to achieve the color on this NOTD. This is a limited edition color for summer and retails for Php1,350 (approx. USD31) at Rustan's.

Happy Monday lovelies!

CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine 63 Rebelle

Hi dear lovelies! Sorry for my sporadic posts, I've been running around like a headless chicken trying to complete everyday tasks at work. Plus I caught this nasty flu, recovered from it but then its starting again! AAACK! What a ride. The weather is to be blamed. Its hot and sunny then its raining before you know it. *sigh* Anyway, I have pretty one for you today!

Its my fourth Rouge Coco Shine! Rebelle is described as a "bright coral red".
A vibrant pop of color in a juicy shade of orangey-pinkish red, it's a hit for me! :)

Sure looks intimidating judging it from the tube but its really sheer and looks more "approachable" when worn on the lips.

If you are looking for easy to wear reds you might want to try Rebelle, especially if its still summer on your part of the globe. It looks really nice and spot on with nautical inspired fashion. ;)

If you're already a red lip diva you will find this refreshing because of the orange tone. I personally love wearing this especially when I'm too lazy to be bothered to put on a full face. It brightens up the face instantly and I fancy the melt on your mouth feeling every time I swipe it on. Its like butter on warm toast. <3

I tried my best capturing the vibrant red-orangey hue but I failed. xD
This is not a long wearing lipstick (I get 2-3 hours) but it does leave a cute "I-just-ate-a-cherry-popsicle" tint on my lips after it fades. I quite like it because its easy to wear, its not drying and it makes my lips look shiny and healthy. I don't think I'm done with the Rouge Coco Shines just yet as some enablers bloggers are making me want more! (thinking of getting a peach or coral shade next)

In other news, the über talented Yasumi of Worship at the House of Blues is having a MASSIVE and EGG-ZOITING giveaway! I love her blog, her photos are beautifully taken and her cosmetic reviews are spot on! Yasumi also designs amazing shiny fings at The Worship Blues Emporium. Follow her if you're sassy and smart!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils 15th Anniversary Collection

If you dont already know, Urban Decay has the creamiest, smooth gliding, long wearing eye pencils out there. These pencil liners don't tug at the lids, helping you make a solid, straight and pigmented line in one easy swipe. Some gals love their MUFE Aqua Eyes, but I let go of mine right after I tried the creamy goodness of UD 24/7's. ;)

This is a great set to have especially if you're just starting to grow your eye liner collection. It retails for USD92 which sounds insane but is actually a great deal considering a pencil costs USD18 each if bought separately. You get 9 permanent shades and 6 new and exclusive colors. Unfortunately, it is not available locally. A shout out to the lovely Kat for helping me get this LE set! <3

it's so nice to look at!

can you spot the difference between the regular and the LE eye pencils?
the pencil from the LE set has a different font for the logo and a "UD15" printed right before the pencil shade, it also has a glossy cap and end while the regular one has a matte finish.

swatches:
(L-R) Stray Dog, Corrupt, Bourbon, Baked, Midnight Cowboy, Stash, Mildew, Perversion, Electric, Binge, Ransom, Asphyxia, Rockstar, Zero, Uzi

Bourbon is my everyday favorite for the soft but defined look it gives, Mildew is really nice for brown eyed gals, Midnight Cowboy is ideal for the lower waterline and I like to use Zero when going out at night. So far those are the only ones I've used. The FUN and vibrant colors are teasing me already. :)

I put the pencils to a test and tried taking them off using a cotton pad with alcohol but as you can see most of them stay put. Ironically, the "blackest black" Perversion is gone in a swipe.

Now let's talk about "Grind House", an awesome sharpener which also comes with the set. Ohmygosh. I never thought I would rave about a sharpener in my life but, this one just rocks!
It doesn't waste product and it leaves the edge of the pencil smooth so it doesn't poke your eye when the eyeliner color runs out. (I hope you get what I mean!)

I highly recommend Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencils, just try one if you don't want to splurge on the whole set. Get the "Grind House" sharpener while you're at it! I'm sure you'll love it too!

Thanks for reading!
