My First Online SASA Haul ;)

I feel like a kid with that title. Haha. But yes, as much as I love shopping at SASA, I have been resisting ordering from their online store for a long while up until I just couldn't anymore, I really wanted to try the FaceQ masks Blair and Eki reviewed and raved about on their respective blogs. I still have some Silk Whitia masks from my Singapore trip, they're great and all, but lately I've been miss lazypants... I need want some masks I won't have to rinse off afterwards. XD

BB Craze: Lioele Waterdrop BB Cream

Moisturizing Waterdrop BB for glossy and lustrous makeup... That's the promise Lioele (Life of Elegant Ease) offers with this BB cream and with main ingredients which includes Aloe Vera juice, papaya & peach extract. It was safe to expect a really light and moisturizing BB cream. :)
The packaging is a simple blue tube with a screw cap (similar to L'egere), which is a different take from their usual pink packaging.

it looked light when I first put it at the back of my hand, but it turned out alright after blending it out.

the cool part is, it forms tiny water droplets while you blend.
Awesome right? Yeah, I'm like a kid, easily impressed. :P

If you have clear skin (because it won't cover anything) and you're on the lookout for a sheer, moisturizing BB cream with sun protection (SPF27 PA+++), you may want to try Lioele's Water drop BB cream.

I purchased this in Colourmix Hong Kong for HKD130 (approx. US $17) A little side story: Beware of the SA's there, they tend to be REALLY pushy (maybe they're commission based?) The one who assisted me told me this was on promotion, buy one take one, so I got another tube for my brother's gf, but I still ended up paying for two bottles. I went back and complained while showing my receipt and SA told me that it was just how it goes in their POS. sheesh! She could have just told me that this BB cream is so great I would want to get 2 and I'll believe her. Hehe. Cosmetic pushover. ;)

going back to the topic, here's a with/without product photo:
<-left without, right-> with blended Lioele Waterdrop BB cream

As you can see the coverage is very sheer, it didn't even do much about my greenish veins (haha!) but it definitely gives that glowy look after it sets so I still like it. I would recommend it to ladies who have combination/dry skin. My dark spots and acne scars are clearing up now so I don't need heavy coverage now, just a little concealer for the under eye circles and this BB cream does the job for my everyday base makeup routine. :)

ps. Birthday giveaway is still open! Don't forget to enter!

HK Holiday Part 2: Cosmetic Haul

What better way to start a beauty-holic's week, than a collective haul to pump up the blood and make us want to work harder so we can afford this costly hobby we all share eh? Can I get a woot woot?! LOL ;)

To say that I went SASA crazy is an understatement. I think I've scoured all the Sasa's and Bonjour's my eyes have seen during my HK trip. Lurvey's and brother's eyes would roll everytime they see that BIG, pink signage with 4 letters in it. hahaha! [Please keep in mind that this is my own beauty blog and beauty bloggers make these kinds of posts to share the excitement we get from acquiring new "toys" to "play" with, if you do not appreciate such posts, please feel free to look for another blog you might fancy. Getting that out of the way.] Let's get started shall we?

Canmake:
I got 5 out of the 6 Cream cheek blushers (I think i'm now regretting not getting no. 6 >.<), Shading powder no. 1, Gloss fit nail no. 6, Lip essence and Nudy glow no. 01 rose macaron. GWP's: Make me happy fragrance hair essence and Canmake Top Coat

Dolly Wink:
Eyelash fix, Dolly Wink falsies in No. 1 Dolly Sweet and Liquid Eyeliner in deep black

Mascaras:
Heroine make Kiss me, Majolica Majorca Lash bone mascara base, Lash Gorgeous Wing to try, and my HG Lash expander frame plus (back up)

Skin care from Lioele:
The HK air is so dry and dirty (broke me out) thats why I purchased a moisturizing skin care to try.

Silk Whitia Masks:
finally! :)

Moisturizing BB Creams:
Skin79 Pink label BB - really really good! , Lioele Water drop BB - magical ;)

Rosebud Salve:
I just want to know what the rave is all about! :)

Palgantong Theatrical Powder:
this was recommended by the beautiful Ari :)

Sunscreens:
the more the merrier!

Sasa brushes...
have very good quality for their price. I recommend SASA brushes (the pink ones) to those who are not yet ready to invest in MAC or Shu Uemura brushes and have access to SASA.

Lavshuca:
Surprisingly, this is the only eye palette I bought. :)

Nail Lacquers:
Arezia from Sasa, i think these are HKD 8 a piece.

and some CHANEL from Harbour City
prices have increased in Hong Kong but as you can see, I finally managed to get Particuliére which is sold out in most cities! (Remember the Shangri la fire story?) happy happy :)

I hope you enjoyed my HK haul post! Reviews are on the way, please be patient. Im so behind on reviews and tags! But I promise I'll get to it. Happy Monday lovelies!

Stay gorge!

Adambeauty Haul: I'm Back to Blanchir!

Smiling ear to ear, I impatiently opened my package from Adambeauty containing my revamped HG skincare, Kanebo Blanchir Superior and a 60ml bottle of Allie sunscreen. Adam is a great seller (if you don't already know), low price for shipping but very fast! :)

I cannot tell you how happy I am to go back to Blanchir because ever since I tried other products, it has been hell for my skin, as in I had constant breakouts which left ugly acne scars on my face (which im treating with Paul & Joe's Whitening Serum at night and DiorSnow Spot Corrector during daytime). I think my skin loves botanical stuff!

Here's the Clear Conditioner (toner) & Milky Conditioner (moisturizer) in its packaging:

They kept the red color but the bottle shape has been changed from the simple oval to this:
Clear Conditioner has 180ml of product content, Milky Conditioner has 130ml.

here is the list of ingredients:
The "moisture" milky conditioner has a thicker consistency and stickier than the old formula I was used to, it can take a short while for it to be absorbed by the skin so I massage it on my face for faster absorption. I have been using it for the past 2 days and I can already notice improvement on my skin in terms of clarity. Thank goodness! Don't you just love it when products deliver results? I love Blanchir!

moving on, I also got Kanebo Allie Precious Barrier Protector SPF 50 PA+++,  I decided to try this because of its "whitening" properties, i suppose it can help with the dark spots from my acne scars.

It came in bundled with a 20g. SPF 31 UV lotion which is very handy for traveling.
The consistency of the whitening version is thinner and runny so I have to be careful and fast in applying it to my face otherwise its going to drip from my fingers, ending on the floor. hehe. I also have to shake it vigorously before using to mix the contents. I forgot to shake it once and all I got was clear fluid coming out. >.<  but its also nice, it doesn't smell like sunscreen, my only concern is it leaves a subtle white cast on my face, I don't mind it as long as I don't look ghastly. But in days when I know there's going to be lots of photographs taken, I'll use the Water Touch version, which is still my HG sunscreen, even my Papa uses it now.

By the way its his birthday today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA! I love you! I'm still thinking of a gift, more sunscreen perhaps? hahaha! :D

back to business, curious about the consistency? heres a swatch:
left, ALLIE Precious Barrier Protector SPF 50 PA+++ right, ALLIE UV SPF 31
both are very easy to blend despite the difference in viscosity. Also, the UV cream has a light "sunscreen" scent and a cool and moisturizing feeling to the skin. A nice product to try, no need to shake before use. ;)

TGIF! The weekend is one sleep away, I hope you all have a great weekend! xoxo^^

There's A New Sunscreen In Town!

Im not kidding, I think Im going to melt in this sweltering weather if I stay outdoors! I swear, this is the hottest summer I've had in my life! I am also bloated for drinking A LOT of cold water just to stay sane. Warm weather is my kyptonite (aside from pretty things ^_~), it makes me weak and helpless which explains my endless complaining. Okay, I just had to let that out :P Thank goodness for sunscreen and air conditioners!

Moving on, I was running low on my Neutrogena SPF50 body sunblock so I went out to get & try another sunscreen which is not as rich as Neutrogena's because its so hot and humid right now, plus Im usually indoors anyway, a lighter lotion with mid range SPF is just what I need. Believe me, there's A LOT of sunscreens available right now in all forms and sizes so it can get confusing; I was so tempted to get a spray on kind (hello laziness!), but held back to look for other promising products. Good call! Because I went inside The Face Shop and found this...

TFS Blooming White Rose SPF 30 PA++ Body Sunscreen
A body sunscreen that provides UVA & UVB protection for healthier skin.
the tube contains 170ml of product for Php 545 (approx. $12 US)

It's lightweight, fast absorbing, has adequate sun protection and it moisturizes making the skin smooth and soft to touch!
it is made in Korea ^_^
It has a moderate white rose scent which gets lighter and more pleasant minutes after blending into your skin.

I like this sunscreen, it leaves a light, clear and glowy finish, so plus points if you like that, rather than a thicker sunblock which leaves a heavy, sticky feeling and a white film coating on your skin making it look patchy which can get ugly. ;) You just might want to reapply often or get another sunscreen with higher SPF if planning to stay outdoors just to be safe. ;)

Summer Essentials

Hello lovelies! March is here and has brought summertime once again! Although I'm not a big fan of the HOT and DRY weather it brings (hello perspiration!) I love everything else about the season. Let me share with you some of my summer essentials which help me stay sane during the season of hotness (pun intended). ^_~

The most important thing on my list, Sunscreen: SPF 50 PA+++ please.
This is my current HG sunscreen, Kanebo ALLIE SPF 50 PA+++ It feels light to touch and its not oily at all. Its not meant for swimming though, but its alright, I have other sunblocks for that purpose which I'm going to share with you on another post. :)

Topshop Heart Print Shorts
I love the dainty and sweet look of this. So cute! Its breezy too, hello freshness!

Popsicles - for that instant cool feeling.
I love these Melona milky melon ice cream bars! Please try it if you haven't already. It's yummers in the tummers! It's very refreshing too! A trip to the Asian grocery is not complete without this! :)

Sunglasses - for eye protection
When it comes to sunnies, the bigger, the better. That's why I cannot part with my butterfly sunglasses, walking or driving, it blocks all those harmful UV rays from the Sun keeping my eye area safe from premature lines and wrinkles. @.@

Umbrella!
My friends know that I always have an umbrella in my bag when I go out. Summer or Typhoon season, I'm always ready. :D This one is from Marc By Marc Jacobs, which has a cute collection of umbrellas in my opinion.

and lastly, a no frills, no fuss, all around summer tote! You see, I'm a tote kind of gal.
I love this immaculate white version of the Pretty Nylon Little Tate from Marc by Marc Jacobs, aside from holding everything you need, its so perfect for matching just about all of your summer outfits, from the beach to the mall, it instantly freshens up your look. It's reversible too! Holy moly. I wish I can just paint my grey tote. :P

Paul & Joe Eye Gloss N in 04 with samples

Kanebo Allie Sunscreen SPF50 PA+++

I bought the 25ml bottle just to try it out, its liquid consistency makes it glide on smoothly and it is not oily nor dry when applied to the face. I like it a lot. I think I will try the Allie whitening sunscreen next.

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes SV887

swatch in natural daylight

swatch with brighter daylight. hahaha!

SV887 E/S palette is a very pretty metallic with a touch of pink. At first i thought the pink color was vivid but it wasn't, but its okay because i think the colors compliment one another. I just regret not buying the other colors! i want the pink, violet and blue palettes as well after seeing them on lotuspalace! :)

Thats all for now, i hope you enjoyed reading as much as i have enjoyed making this post! Take care lovelies!
