ViVi July 2010 Scans *pic heavy*

ViVi July focuses on fashion, mixing and matching the trends which are very "in" right now like maxi dresses, boater hats, jelly shoes/sandals and rompers, this issue also has pages dedicated to summer swimwear  but I don't want to upload them because perves might come flocking in! LOL. The beauty section has tutorials on base and eye makeup plus nail art ideas which are super cute. Lots of accessories too! *drools*

I hope you enjoyed the scans as much as I enjoyed browsing the mag (even if I don't understand the text). Lots of pretty stuff right?

Stay gorge!

HK Holiday Part 1: OOTD and More!

I have a lot of things from my HK trip to share with you guys but I need to divide them in parts so I don't go crazy and write a travelog-novel which might bore you to death. :] I know I said the haul's up next but I haven't finished taking pictures yet. Please bear with me! :) Also, a very good blogger friend of mine, Stellarvixen requested to see my Liberty of London x Kamiseta dress since she is also into florals and dresses.
So today I'm going to share with you day 1 of my HK holiday. Here's my OOTD (outfit of the day) :

@ HKIA
Liberty of London x Kamiseta floral dress, Mango cardigan, Zara wedges and Marc by Marc Jacobs Nylon Little Tate Tote in quartz grey (great for traveling!)

I think dresses are very practical when traveling because you already have a full outfit and only need to accessorize unlike bringing multiple pieces for an outfit which can take so much room in your luggage, leaving smaller space for hauls. ;) Please check the weather forecasts for the city/town you are visiting so you can coordinate your clothes with the weather, you wouldn't want to get stuck in the rain wearing your favorite wedges or get frozen while wearing your mini skirts would you? ;)

on the way to Times Square:

where I was greeted by a JILL STUART store :D
sadly, the new loose blushers i wanted to try are not out yet :(

after Times Square, we took the tram (for that HK experience) to go to Central:
my feet hurt so i took off my shoes. haha! yes, that's my brother sleeping. I swear he can sleep anywhere! hahaha!
then from central (don't have much pics, we went shopping) we took the Star ferry back to Tsim Sha Tsui, walked though Avenue of the Stars, snapped some pics and enjoyed the harbor view especially when the Aqualuna made an appearance. It looked like those scenes from Hong Kong movies which was really nice. :)
the famous Aqualuna

and...

the famous G of ♡ coffretgorge *kidding!*
^_~

Happy Independence Day to all my fellow filipinos! MABUHAY! :)

Liberty of London x Kamiseta + TFS Haul

I know a lot of you are familiar with textile and fabric giant Liberty of London especially now that they have their MAC collection and Target collaboration, but locally, they have also worked with women's clothing brand Kamiseta (which simply means 'undershirt' which is ironic because it is usually refers to men) to bring in a limited edition collection for summer which consists of multi colored dresses, button down shirts with bow details at the back and drawstring, short sleeved dresses using Liberty fabrics, I went there to check the LE collection and I didn't go home empty handed, I got a cute floral print dress which is super comfortable and totally suitable for the hot and humid weather we have here.

I'll show you the print, the LOTD will come later. ;)

isn't it fun and pretty? I'm planning on taking it to our family HK trip. Of course I'll share photos; If you share some good places to shop and eat! bwahaha >:)

Next, The Face Shop mini-haul, mainly essentials:
top left to bottom right: Raspberry Roots de-puffing eye gel sample, Clean Face White Post-Acne Nighttime Spot Eraser, Plus +1 Pomegranate Lip Care Stick, Nail file and TFS Color Nuance for Cheek in OR202 (shine) *phew!*

I'm seriously in love with this pomegranate lip care stick right now, here shown with my trusty strawberry chap stick for size comparison:
its longer but slimmer, contains lesser product too. I got it for Php265 (approx. $6)

product:
swatch:
texture is similar to chap stick and it moisturizes my lips adequately, difference is the Lip Care Stick gives a vibrant cherry red tint to lips, which makes you look like you just ate a popsicle, very natural and pretty. I usually reapply every 4 hours, not bad eh? I highly recommend it if you're looking for that red stained lips effect without drying the lips! I've been using it everyday since I got it, which is exactly a week now. :)

I also got the Clean Face White Post-Acne Nighttime Spot Eraser for my acne scars, I'm using it now after the Paul & Joe whitening serum, i have noticed a slight difference already, dark spots have lightened up a bit, I hope it eradicates the scars completely soon. Retail price: Php795 quite affordable! No wonder its always sold out.
it turns invisible when blended, sometimes I use it instead of my Diorsnow spot corrector for daytime. :D

I got curious about the blushers because they reminded me of Shu Uemura packaging. Hehe. TFS Color Nuance for Cheek in OR202 (shine)

here it is in the pan, its more vibrant and orangey in person, i dont know why it ended up looking pale here on blogger. :/

the swatch is more accurate:
Pretty orange shade right?
Honestly, i liked the way it looked when i swatched it because i was so used to pinks and roses the color looked refreshing and summery, but when i tried it on my face it was too orangey for my liking, i have to try it again and blend it very well this time. Quality wise, its quite good for its price (Php395, approx. $8), it is highly pigmented and it has little specks of shimmer which gives off a faint glow to the cheeks. TFS Color Nuance for cheek has 8 shades available, I'm going to try OR201 next, a light peach shade.

Happy Monday everyone! Stay gorge! x.x

Summer Essentials

Hello lovelies! March is here and has brought summertime once again! Although I'm not a big fan of the HOT and DRY weather it brings (hello perspiration!) I love everything else about the season. Let me share with you some of my summer essentials which help me stay sane during the season of hotness (pun intended). ^_~

The most important thing on my list, Sunscreen: SPF 50 PA+++ please.
This is my current HG sunscreen, Kanebo ALLIE SPF 50 PA+++ It feels light to touch and its not oily at all. Its not meant for swimming though, but its alright, I have other sunblocks for that purpose which I'm going to share with you on another post. :)

Topshop Heart Print Shorts
I love the dainty and sweet look of this. So cute! Its breezy too, hello freshness!

Popsicles - for that instant cool feeling.
I love these Melona milky melon ice cream bars! Please try it if you haven't already. It's yummers in the tummers! It's very refreshing too! A trip to the Asian grocery is not complete without this! :)

Sunglasses - for eye protection
When it comes to sunnies, the bigger, the better. That's why I cannot part with my butterfly sunglasses, walking or driving, it blocks all those harmful UV rays from the Sun keeping my eye area safe from premature lines and wrinkles. @.@

Umbrella!
My friends know that I always have an umbrella in my bag when I go out. Summer or Typhoon season, I'm always ready. :D This one is from Marc By Marc Jacobs, which has a cute collection of umbrellas in my opinion.

and lastly, a no frills, no fuss, all around summer tote! You see, I'm a tote kind of gal.
I love this immaculate white version of the Pretty Nylon Little Tate from Marc by Marc Jacobs, aside from holding everything you need, its so perfect for matching just about all of your summer outfits, from the beach to the mall, it instantly freshens up your look. It's reversible too! Holy moly. I wish I can just paint my grey tote. :P
