Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadows

Giorgio Armani premieres a new approach to shadow - Eyes To Kill Intense. A new color dimension inspired by the very roots of Italy; its earth, volcanoes, marble and rare stones.

Employing the breakthrough Colorfil™ technology, very intense pure pigments are combined with lightweight pearls to create a silken soft texture.
Hands down, the most amazing eyeshadows I've ever tried, Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill eyeshadows are the smoothest, most pigmented ones in my collection. I have been a palette lover ever since I started collecting makeup as I find it troublesome to mix and match eyeshadow shades on my own. But as you can see, I'm quite addicted to these single color pots. One swipe on the lid was all it took for me to hand my card over to the lovely Armani SA. Ah me~

As of date, I have 7 shades out of the 16 readily available.

2 Lust Red

3 Purpura

5 Gold Blitz

6 Khaki Pulse

7 Sweet Fire

14 Gold Spirit

15 Copper Impress

swatches:
15 Copper Impress, 14 Gold Spirit, 7 Sweet Fire, 6 Khaki Pulse, 5 Gold Blitz, 3 Purpura , 2 Lust Red

The texture of these shadows is silky smooth, they glide on like a dream, and stays put the whole day even without a primer. They don't crease or flake. All shades look nice worn alone but blend really well together as well which makes it ideal for a smoky eye look. Given the soft and smooth texture, I did not observe any fallout after application. Aside from price (HKD250) and availability (got mine in Armani Chater House, Hong Kong) setback, I really can't think of anything that will make these shadows inferior to other eyeshadows. I highly recommend these outstanding little pots, every beauty aficionado should check them out! :)

I'm already looking forward to the holiday ETK's! I'm curious if the Gold and Silver shade will be ultra sparkly!

Have you tried the super popular ETK's? What's your favorite shade?

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Waterproof Mascara

Mascaras are not just Minnie Mouse's best friend, they're mine too! Its one of those "can't live without" products in my makeup bag, its my lash curler's best friend, and together, they complete me. *cuddles with 'scara* I have been quite lucky that my mascara picks have been consistently good and now I will share another tube of peeper prettifying wonder, the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Waterproof Mascara [length & volume lash artillery]. I am always drawn to waterproof versions because I am terribly afraid of smudging and raccoon eyes.
It comes in a weighty, hair finish metal tube which undoubtedly makes it a luxurious mascara.

As you can see, the wand looks like a standard mascara comb, full and dense but not to the point of being clumpy. I hope that made sense :P

Here's how it looks on me, no other eye makeup just the ETK mascara:
my bottom lashes are bare so you can see how the mascara thickens each lash.

This one is quite amazing, it does what it says- volume and length are evident, plus its really comfortable to wear! It has a lightweight formula which made my lashes stay curled all day and soft to touch without smudging nor flaking. If you are one to splurge on mascaras (HKD280), I'd TOTALLY recommend this to you. It also comes in a regular (non-waterproof) formula in black, brown and gray shades.

Happy hump day!

HK "Gift To Self" Haul

Shoot. I've abandoned my blog again. Apologies my lovelies! You know how it is when real life gets in the way of blogging duties ya? ;) I got a lot of requests on Twitter to share photos of the stuff I got during my recent trip to Hong Kong. Its been a while since I did a haul post, so I figured I'd give it a go.

OMGee. I couldn't just tell you how much fun and destructive it is (for the wallet) to shop with a fellow beauty blogger.  I have to SHOW you.
*waves hello to Jennifer*

here's a group pic:

close ups:

I'm running really low on my current Aqualabel skin care so I took advantage of the reasonably priced box set + enhancer at SaSa :)

also stocked up on my favorite bubble hair dye because selection is better and its so much cheaper in Hong Kong with all the promotions during the July SALE.
Sweet Apricot and Dark Chocolat

My Beauty Diary LE Masks and Sweet Teatime Set :)
I'm so excited to try these, the packaging is so darn cute!

Orbis UV Cut Sunscreen and Foam Esthe pack:
the sunscreen is the new version I've been told, hence the new packaging color.

loaded up on essential and portable brushes, the price difference between Hong Kong and Manila is huge especially for Shu Uemura brushes (my favorite brand).
I finally have S.U. 18R and the MAC 187  (my first MAC brush)! *happy dance*

base makeup, all powders were recommended by my dear friend/ evil enabler J. :P
The Nanoce BB moist cream was not on my "shoplist" but I was surprised when I saw it at CitySuper so I grabbed it. I've been wanting to try it for the longest time because of Nic Nic's good feedback and HG status. Go see her FOTD's to see what I mean. :)

Make Up For Ever:
I've been testing the black one, my review will be posted soon.

BeneFit:
liquid pearl luminizer, brightening makeup base and a foaming wash (sample)

Blushers:
JS Milky Strawberry and BeneFit Sugarbomb

Dior Addict Lippies in 322 and 333.
Natural looking shades in the beige family. <3

Eye makeup:
you didn't think I was going back without some DollyWink cuteness did you? ^___^
also, I caved in and finally got a Helena Rubinstein mascara at HKIA Duty Free. xD

last but definitely not the least, Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows!
OMfrigginGee. I feel like doing a blog sale, sell all my e/s palettes and just collect all the ETK shades. Serious!

I hope you enjoyed the haul post as much as I had a blast shopping for them. *evil laughter* hey, its my birthday haul! lol. the lamest excuse. I know.

Have a great Monday!
