How's it going lovelies? I apologize for my short blogger absence, just got lazy busy over the past few days, but I'm back and ready to face a good week ahead. However, I'm sad that one of my blogger buddies, Jian of Pinkfishpie is quitting Blogger because she has to focus on medical school, but I understand her decision and wish her the best. I'll miss you Jian!
Moving on, I finally managed to get this palette out of the box, let it see the sun after making it sit in my cosmetic drawer since June. It was a new release back then... got it from SASA for HKD98 (approx. USD13). But you can also purchase this from a variety of online sellers like ichibankao and adambeauty if you don't have easier access to japanese cosmetics.
Packaging is cute and princessy with the pans shaped like petals of a flower. There's also an "L" in fancy script engraved on the plastic cover, a special treat if your name starts with letter "L". ^_~
PK-1 is a cool toned quad with fine white shimmer highlight, pink, soft lilac and dark brown with a hint of deep violet pans (sorry I'm terrible at describing colors as you can already tell!). The highlight color is very nice, shimmer is subtle but brightens the eyes nonetheless.
palette comes with one dual ended applicator
swatch without primer:
The colors complement each other well but as you can see, color payoff is very sheer so using a primer is a MUST to help make the colors vibrant and make them stay put.
swatch after applying MAC prep + prime:
it's like magic. ;)
available colors:
Overall, I think that this is a very nice palette to have especially if you like natural looking/light eye makeup that is suitable for daytime use. It is not overloaded with sparkly chunks of glitter but it does a good job in making you look awake and pretty of course. It is also quite affordable yet the packaging is adorable... Packaging junkie approved! XD
In other news, I'm slowly using my cosmetics again, I wore my Liole Waterdrop BB cream with this eyeshadow yesterday, but I'm still leaving the full face foundation for now because I really think that its the culprit to my break outs and I don't want to take chances because I'm seeing a big improvement on my skin now. I will also start on a new skin care soon which I'm excited about.
Have a great week loves!

ReplyDeleteI saw this on eBay the other day and really liked 'BR-1'. The colors are nice but too bad the pigmentation is kind of sheer. :(
ReplyDeleteOh and do keep us updated with your new skincare!

I love this! I should try... Great blog by the way. :D
ReplyDeleteThe colors are pretty after a base but honestly, I hate buying palettes where the colors are really sheer. Thanks for the review/swatches Georgina. Btw, I didn't have peacock hair..that interview was with Phyrra :) Her interview with me is on her website ;)

So pretty! i really need to get my hands on this palette! : )
ReplyDeleteThat's a well designed container, very cute. My favorite is still one that looks like a Star Trek communicator, but this one is nice.
ReplyDeleteWas it bad that I hit that older boy???
So good to hear that your skin is improving! I think perhaps that's why my skin is breaking out too??? I dunno...but it's been bad since I got back to Canada and my makeup and skincare routine hasn't changed so I don't know what it is, can't wait to hear what yours is like :)
ReplyDeleteI have Br-2 in Light Mix Eyes too ;) I like the taupey colour in it and am thinking of getting more XD
oh my it's so pretty. i'm mad at myself because i don't own a single lavshuca eye palette lol anyways i'm excited to know about your new skin care too
ReplyDeletesuch pretty pretty colors!! i really like the BR-1 palette! and what a difference primer makes to the colors :) this reminds me i shouldn't be lazy with primer :p
ReplyDeletehey darling thanks for reply back we actually don't have any asian cosmetics over here if we do it about 1 hr drive to a different city but they don't have this brand over there! =(

It's such a lovely palette. Too bad it's comes out quite sheer. I like my eyeshadows to be nicely pigmented. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete*Kat*
wow the mac prep+prime really gives a magic effect to the shadows :P
ReplyDeletehave a great week to G!! <3
Gorgeous palette, G. :P
ReplyDeleteHi Georgina, I'm new to your blog :) thanks for sharing your Lavshuca shadow swatch, it's just soo pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteoh that's too sheer & shimmery....but such pretty colors....yay!!for nicer skin....
ReplyDeletegreat colors! i love the shape of the palettes too! such a small detail but can make all the difference hey? ;P
ReplyDeletethe shimmering effect is really cute. a bit pinkish and eyecatchy♥
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with being lazy-er-busy...hehe. ;) What a pretty palette! I can't believe it's been sitting unused since June. Great to hear about the continued improvement of your skin! I've been keeping the foundation at bay too b/c too much of it breaks me out as well. :\
ReplyDeleteP.S You are not a bad blogger!
OoOoo.. This is a pretty palette! Too bad the pigmentation is so so on it's own. Atleast the primer is able to bring out the colors! I really like the flora design as well. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting to use a primer with some of my products. I have a Kate palette that looks grea when I put it on but completely fades and disappears by the end of the day. I must use primer!
I hope your skin clears up soon. I hate when I don't know what's causing break outs. Better safe than sorry. Just wait for your skin go clear then test the product on a small part of your face. =P Hopefully you find out what's causing your break outs and that your skin clears up ASAP!
<3s Serena.
WoW, there is a MAJOR difference of the color pay-off with and without primer.
ReplyDeleteThe colors look really pretty and princessy. hehehe Cute~
I can't wait to try out a Lavshuca palette. I just hate how sometimes the online retailers mark up the price, oh well, they are trying to make some $$ too, so i can't blame them. :)
the swatches are very pretty. I have never tried Lavshuca products, altho I have heard loads of raves about their palettes. tempting, indeed!
ReplyDeletePretty palette!! Looks very bright
ReplyDeleteOh my this is soooo pretty~~But it's a bit too sheer and I've just ordered Lavshuca Melting Eyes. ^_^
ReplyDeleteheehee, glad ppl can laugh with me about the tee! ;D i'm not sure if i want to sell it yet cus it might be one of those jokes that dies off after a while... we'll see though! if there is more interest, i'll definitely consider selling it :D
ReplyDeleteHow weird, the darker shades in BU-1 were quite pigmented. Lavshuca needs to do some quality control hahaha xD
ReplyDeleteWhat are your plans for the weekend, Georgina dear?
Fancy palette. Lovely colors!
ReplyDeleteGeorgina, I think I'm losing my mind!! I really thought I commented to this post already.. hehe well if I didn't yet: I think the colors pink and brown are so pretty together (esp with the magic of primer!)- they really know how to match the colors in each palette very well. Thanks for your support & suggesting pink tees in my giveaway ;) that would be my color choice too. May I ask you a favor to perhaps help me spread the word about my giveaway girl? It would mean a lot to me!
ReplyDeleteI knowwww O_O I think I might get the LE shade, I'm loving how vibrant the left colour is!
ReplyDeleteYay to your skin getting better! You must have some great stamina G, because as soon as I get a makeup item that can be swatched, it WILL be swatched immediately haha!
